Pathways Training has developed an interactive CD
Rom for students completing units of competency from the Community
Health and Services Training Package. This versatile resource
has a variety of applications and can be beneficial to both
students and trainers.
A series of five video clips reveal significant details about
the personal, social and medical needs of five fictitious
residents at "Serenity Age Care Facility". In each
video clip, Nurse Fiona Roberts introduces and then talks
to each of the five residents.
This resource aims to provide a meaningful context in which
to develop the LL&N competencies identified in the Community
Services & Health Training Package. Specifically the resource
is designed to assist Personal Care Workers practice the documentation
skills needed to operate effectively in Residential Care settings.
Documentation styles not only vary from one workplace to another,
they are constantly changing and so the focus of this CD-ROM
is on people rather than the documentation itself.

On the Road
This resource is a literacy assessment guide for the road
transport sector funded by the Workplace English Language
and Literacy Program (WELL) through the Department of Education
Science and Training (DEST).
This resource is available to transport industry workers
and employers through the TWU
website.
